Ravens & Red Moon
Ravens guttled the eye of the storm
The last shelter collapsed; it seems enduring wasn't enough
For each wave you withstand comes a bigger one
And the tide just keeps rising up over the reef of crumpled sun
Tidal red moon, how much colder can you grow?
And just how many drowned men and women are you to blame for?
While ravens swarm, converging like mental warps,
And sooner or later I'll be just another corpse
Like a penalty for a crime not committed yet
A lifetime colliding walls at the bottom of your own private well
And when the rain subsides, what will be left?
A shroud of memories, dust of shattered shells
All things for the wind to blow away
